Privacy Policy

Fuego Tours is a free discount pass and local guide for Antigua, Guatemala. This page explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it. We have tried to write it in plain language.

What we collect

• A random device ID. When you first open the app we generate a random identifier and store it in your browser. It is how your pass and your progress are remembered. It is not linked to your name, email or phone number.
• Pass and redemption activity. Which offers you have unlocked or redeemed, and when.
• Team and game state if you join a crawl or play, including your team name and score.
• Push notification subscription — only if you explicitly allow notifications. You can revoke this in your browser or phone settings at any time.
• Approximate location — only while you are using the map, and only if you grant permission. We do not store your location history.
• Language preference.

What we do not collect

We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, date of birth or government ID to use the pass. We do not collect payment details — coffee and merchandise purchases are handled entirely by Shopify on their own checkout, and we never see your card.

Who processes data for us

• Supabase — database and storage (United States).
• Cloudflare Pages — website hosting and delivery.
• Google Maps Platform — the map. Google receives map requests from your browser under Google’s privacy policy.
• Shopify — checkout for coffee and merchandise, under Shopify’s own privacy policy.

Participating businesses

When you redeem an offer, the participating business sees that a valid pass was redeemed. They do not receive your device ID, your other activity, or any personal details.

How long we keep it

Pass and game records are kept while the pass is active and for a reasonable period afterwards for fraud prevention and accounting. Push subscriptions are deleted when you revoke permission or the subscription expires.

Your choices

• Clear everything: clearing your browser storage for this site removes your device ID. Your pass and progress will not be recoverable.
• Turn off notifications: revoke the permission in your browser or phone settings.
• Ask us to delete your record: message us on WhatsApp with your device ID (shown on your account page) and we will delete it.

Children

Fuego Tours is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information. The app includes a kid-friendly mode intended for use with a parent or guardian.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
